Ted Hood designed the Paceship "Westwind". Ted Hood is the founder of the Ted Hood Design Group and is also responsible for many well built, beautiful and fast sailing vessels of all types and sizes as well as motor yachts up to 150' in length.

Ted is a noted sailor in his own right running in six America's Cup races snagging the victory in 1974 as the skipper of Courageous. Ted also designed and manufactured sails, spars, and rigging for all of the America's Cup defenders for almost 20 years.

The Design group is centered in Portsmouth, RI.  but Ted also maintains a showroom for new yachts in Marblehead, MA.
