In additon to working as a designer G. William
McVay for Paceship Yachts in Mahone Bay NS in
the 60's, he also is credited with bringing back
to life (via fiberglass reproductions) the beautiful Bluenose
originally designed by W. J. Roue in Halifax,
NS. McVay is also responsible for the design
and production of the Minuet.
Apparently McVay felt the original Acadian design
developed for Paceship in the late 60's deserved
further exploitation and so the Victoria line
of sailboats was born. These boats were manufactured
until the 80's in Florida.
