Bill Tripp is the designer of the first Paceship 32.Hhe was a renowned sailor prodigious designer of the era.

Bill designed many boats including Block Island 40, Bermuda 40, Columbia 50, Columbia30 , Meteor [a 38 foot Pearson Invicta Invicta ocean racer.(an early (1963) fiberglass sloop with wood trim],  Atlanta,” a 73 foot aluminum ketch, 65' Pilothouse Performance Sailboat, 41' Bill Tripp Sr. One Design Ocean Racer/Cruiser, 30' Tripp Lentch and many more.
