which was obtained from the original parent company of Paceship Yachts Ltd:

A 19'6" high performance centerboard model daysailer, which has a large cockpit suitable for 4-6 people. The Mouette is a class boat, which offers the beginner as well as the expert the challenge and fun of daysailing and racing. She is of fiberglass construction including hull, deck and cockpit liner, which gives her a self-bailing cockpit and ease of maintenance found only in fiberglass construction. The beginner will find the Mouette a wide, safe and sea kindly craft. She has positive foam flotation, which is adequate to support the hull with reserve buoyancy. Speed in addition to grace is one of Mouette's characteristics and she's becoming well known as a boat to beat in her size range.

Construction: Construction is of multi-laminate fiberglass with polyester resins used throughout. She is built from a one piece mold by hand lay-up techniques. All colors are molded in and her waterline, hull color and deck color is offered in your choice of seven standard colors. Mouette carries a 6 month warranty on all parts and is known for its high quality of finish and trouble-free maintenance.


STANDARD EQUIPMENT

  • The Mouette is equipped with the following standard equipment and is ready to sail away as follows:

  • Hull - molded fiberglass planing hull and deck with inset vinyl gunwale guard;
  • Positive foam insulation in hull.
  • Enclosed, lever action control, fiberglass centerboard.
  • A kick-up rudder of mahogany and aluminum with stainless steel pintels and gudgeons, extra length ash tiller with hiking stick and stainless steel tiller cap.
  • Large self-draining cockpit.
  • Molded seats.
  • An outboard well is supplied, which is self-draining and has a mahogany outboard motor mounting bracket.
  • Nylon braid hiking straps are supplied.
  • Cuddy Cabin: The Cuddy Cabin is designed for dry storage of picnic baskets, extra clothing, etc., and contains approximately 90 cu. ft. of storage space. Access to the cabin is gained through two mahogany access doors.
  • Mast and Boom: A one piece extruded mast and boom with spreaders is supplied and Roller Reefing is standard.
  • Standard Rigging: Stainless steel wire with swaged terminals, stainless steel turnbuckles and chain plates.
  • Running Rigging: Dacron halyards for main and jib with Samson braid main sheet and jib sheets.
  • Sails: Dacron mainsail and working jib with sail insignia numbers, battens and sail bag is supplied.
  • Hardware: All deck hardware is color coded to match and includes Marinium cleats on foredeck and afterdeck with two Marinium cleats for halyards on cuddy top. A stainless steel and nylon main sheet jam cleat is supplied. Two snubbing winches with nylon and stainless steel jam cleats for jib is included. All blocks for main sheet are of white nylon and stainless steel.
  • Available Extras:
  • Genoa and genoa gear.
  • Spinnaker and spinnaker gear.
  • Boom vang.
  • Combination paddle and boom crutch.
  • A class registration certificate is supplied with each boat.
  • Tabernacle Mast: This extra consists of a mast base plate and cuddy cabin top hinge base, which is supported internally by a support strut. This option is available to make the boat easily trailerable and will allow the mast to be erected single handed. This option is available only when fitted at the factory.
