	General Information
	Our Paceship user community has grown and as we get larger, more effect ways to communicate become important. Our private mail list server provides a junk mail free method of communicating to large numbers of members without the problems public servers often involve. Our system also provides the ability to send attachments with postings which further aids communications.

Even thought the email posting traffic on our server is quite moderate, if you wish, you can get a "digest version" of the activities on the list server daily (instead of individual emails...you get one with all the messages condensed in order of receipt!).

The new Paceship List Server provides all of this functionality and we have implemented these and other technologies for our members.

What does a list server system do?

A List Server system allows people to sign up to receive email messages that are posted by other registered users via email. Once you join you are added to the list of users.

When another registered user posts an email, that email will go to all users without revealing the email addresses of all the other users on the list. Only the originator's email address is listed on the email.

How do you sign up?

Simple! Send a message to the board to imailsrv@paceship.org with a blank "Subject:" line and with the following information in the message body:
Subscribe Paceship Your Name (replace "Your Name" with your actual name!)

Example: Subscribe Paceship Davey Jones

How do I post messages?

Just send an email with your message to paceship@paceship.org !!!

What other things can I do

The List server is totally automated (so you need no help from TPW to manage any part of the process - we don't have time do do this stuff manually anyway!) Here are some other functions available. Note you can also get the info by following the directions at the bottom of every email. Send a message to imailsrv@paceship.org with a blank subject line and any one of the below commands in the message body:

Where:

Help Paceship - Sends you email with help about specific Paceship list server commands (essentially the info presented here)

Subscribe Paceship Your Name - Subscribes you to the list

Unsubscribe Paceship Your Name - Unsubscribes you from the list

Set Mode digest Paceship - Sets mail list to send you a daily "Digest" version (many individual emails condensed into one email sent daily) of the emails sent to this list.

Set Mode Standard Paceship - Set mail list to "standard mode" (One email per email post sent to the list server).
