Have you noticed the similarities between these anchors? The Rocna is made in New Zealand, and for a while, in Canada. I believe the Manson is made in USA.
What bothers me is the slot in the shank of the Manson. I think these two anchors and the Delta have Lloyds anchor awards. I don't see how the Mansons can have, because if someone mounts a rode in the slot, and the tide or current or wind change direction, won't the rode tend to slide along the slot and pull the anchor out of its hold? Am I seeing this correctly?
I am looking for an anchor. My research has covered N. America and UK and there are conflicting reports. I would much appreciate members' comments.

I'm sorry that I am not familiar with those two brands.

I purchased a 17# DELTA from defender.com during their big spring warehouse sale.

I also have a danforth that came with the boat.

I would suggest looking at the PRACTICAL SAILOR reviews, or the BOATUS website under their information section.

I am waiting for this year's sale. Did you get much of a discount on the Delta? Until I heard of the Rocna, the Delta was my top choice.

To be honest, I really do not recall.

I believe I purchased the anchor either at Defender during the sale, or I may have bought it at the local westmarine store during the same time period.

I believe westmarine matched the price.

I love the DELTA and have no regrets.

I have a Lewmar/SL Claw Anchor, it also rolls over by it's design (w/o a loop) to dig in.

Manson just looks like another gimmick for extra $$$....
