My Weather!

I am the 2nd owner of my 1976 PY23 "Rose", after the tall ship "Rose". My wife joyce and I have owned her since 1995 and sail all over Lake Erie and she has been in some of the good, bad and ugly that the lake deals. We race other PHRF boats with 150's on Mosqueto lake, Cortland Ohio. We also enjoy sailing Lake Erie.

Here is how I have learned to raise and lower my mast by my self.

The A frame is tied off on the first set of life line stanchons
fasten the wench line and the jib uphull to the top of the A frame (besure to tie off the down hull)

Start cranking her up ,You can start or stop to check on hung up lines.

To lower the mast just take a line from the A-frame on deck to a couple raps around the bow polpit and eas it on down.
