Roxanne and Peter Haliburton |

We have been sailing with other people since 1997. Peter has CYA Intermediate Cruising, and many miles of coastal voyaging experience. He also has MED A2, POC, ROC-MC and other training. Roxanne just likes relaxing sailing trips on the sheltered Bay of Exploits. Despite being sailors, up until now our vessel was a 19' open speedboat, and Peter spent several years ocean kayaking where he earned Paddle Canada Level 2 status. Now, we have finally bought our first sailboat.

| She is a nice looking boat. Not sure about the fat guy at the mast... |

Roxanne enjoying being on the mooring at Siviers Island
|
| On the LYC mooring at Siviers Island. After a weekend on a small boat, I was told to come up with a tender so we can more easily get ashore to stretch our legs. Picked up a West Marine RU260 in 2008. |
|

3 sections of epoxy and Cetol coated, good one side, 3/8 plywood for a solid and good looking floor.
|
This floor not only looks good, but is very strong - covering a weak spot on the port side by the bilge access cover. |

Another delicious supper is being prepared at the dock. |
| We often ate aboard, and entertained company at the dock. |

Western Hr., Sivier Island |
| Our best sailing weekend of the summer was spent on a mooring in this harbour, but we had to find a wharf to stretch our legs. |

|
| This was taken before the new O/B and other improvements were made. We had a good, mostly downwind run that day, and made better time than expected. |

| The boat at the dock is a great place to socialize when you are not out sailing. |

| Replaced the port-a-pottie that came with the boat with a standard marine toilet. Picked this one up from a boat that burned for $10. Needs rebuilding, but still mostly functional. Have the vented loops, but not yet installed. |
