Welcome to the
Paceships Plycraft Website! |
The Website created by and for Owners and Enthusiasts
of the Paceship Boats and their Fore-runners |
This is the newly rehabiltated website designed for the non-fiberglass "Plycraft" Motorboats, Canoes and Sailboats whose hulls where designed and built by Mahone Bay Plycraft Company Ltd. and/or Industrial Shipping Ltd.
These boats were finished, marketed and sold under many names from about 1946 through 1962.
If you are seeking information about the fiberglass sailboat yachts made by Paceship Yachts and/or AMF hit your back button!

Mark McCally of Great Village, NS CA sent in this pic of a MBPC Teazer 15. He would like to get an estimate on the age of his machine. Anyone got a clue? |

Ray Trottier of Lewisville, NC sent in pics of his new (to him!) Russell "Sandusky". Ray has already skinned her and is doing a complete restoration. Expect a beauty from the sounds of Ray's intentions! |

This site is being developed to support the needs of the growing ranks of "Plycraft" boat owners and enthusiasts. The Mahone Bay Plycraft Company Ltd was the company that manufactured the Plycraft hulls called "Paceships" and this company eventually transformed into the company that became Paceship Yachts Limited.
Plycraft boats were perhaps the first that utilized a new process perfected on the English Mosquito bombers of "molded plywood" (or if you prefer the olde English spelling of "moulded Plywood" !) for producing incredible strong and aerodynamic boat hulls. It is a special breed of boats!
Regardless of the "Finisher" of these boats, beneath all the gorgeous teak and mahogany, the beautiful brass or chrome trim, these boats being pushed by such names as Evinrude, Johnson and Mercury, remain uniquely Paceships.
With the help and support of "Plycrafters" everywhere we will expand the site to provide a resource and community for owners and enthusiasts.
The Sailboat side of this site has grown incredibly over the past few years to become a great free resource for owners everywhere. We hope with the help and support of the membership and others that we can duplicate that success for the founding father of Paceship...The Mahone Bay Pllycraft Company and indeed the entire Plycraft genre. |
